Membership Coordination Assistant (Deadline November 23rd, 2011)
Tasks:
The Membership Coordination Assistant is required to:
1. Assist in the coordination of ARCADIA’s online knowledge sharing platform NING by:
- Creating weekly activity reports
- Participating at the creation of ARCADIA’s online products for its members- latest news in development, opportunity corner, online library customized on members’ profiles
- Assist members with technical queries about the online platform
2. Assist in a research study about Romanians in International Development:
- Conduct research interviews with Romanian international experts working for: the UN, World Bank, European Commission, national and international development non-governmental organizations, and members of the diplomatic corps.
- Participate in the writing of the study
- Data analysis
Profile:
- Strong interest in international development and development cooperation
- Background in international development/political science/international affairs/political economy or related field
- Excellent English and Romanian communication skills, especially in writing
- Good organizational skills
- Internet and computer proficiency
- Positive attitude
- Customer oriented

Events Officer (Deadline November 23rd, 2011)
Tasks
The Events Officer is required to perform the following duties:
- Organize round tables on development related topics or presentations given by professionals in international development;
- Organize ARCADIA panels and coordinate ARCADIA participation to national and international conferences;
- Managing all logistical aspects: location, catering, promotion materials, communication with the participants, transport details etc;
- Promoting ARCADIA events and ARCADIA’s participation to conferences and seminars;
- Various follow-up activities related to events organizing
The person will work closely with the Events Coordinator and the Secretary General.
Profile
- Interest in international development and development cooperation
- Background in international development/political science/international affairs/political economy or related field
- Preferable experience in event management
- Excellent English and Romanian communication skills, especially in writing
- Good organizational skills
- Internet and computer literate
- Positive attitude
- Customer oriented

Fundraising Coordinator (Deadline November 23rd, 2011)
Tasks
The Fundraising Coordinator is required to perform the following duties:
- Design and implement fundraising campaigns: eg. 2% for Romanian Development Cooperation Professionals
- Identify potential donors and sponsors for ARCADIA’s professional events with development experts;
- Seek potential sources of financing for the publishing of the Romanian International Development Review and other ARCADIA products and projects;
The person will work closely with the Secretary General and the President.
Profile
- Interest in international development and development cooperation
- Background in marketing, management, economics;
- Preferable experience fundraising with student organizations
- Excellent English and Romanian communication skills both orally and in writing
- Internet and computer literate
- Positive attitude and creativity
- Ability to work independently

All positions within ARCADIA, down to its executive board, are unpaid and volunteer-based. The positions will enable all volunteers to you gain NGO experience and professional skills.
Usually there are no geographic requirements for joining a project. We are committed to go international, and our team spans several continents. We carry out much of our communication over email and Skype. However, certain posistions may require full-time presence in Bucharest.
